Moderator's Note: According to an Aug. 18 Herald article, "Van Drew said he had personal experience with a wind turbine on his 6-acre property in Dennis Township, and it did not turn out well. He said the 120-foot turbine was supposed to provide 100% of his electrical needs. He said it only provided 40%. When it broke after eight years, he said, the manufacturer was defunct, and it was going to cost $40,000 to repair the turbine."
