Dennis Township - A short and sweet spout states that Dennis Township is reviewing its animal welfare ordinances. No doubt this is finally a knee-jerk reaction after two dogs froze to death in Buena Vista Township and received extensive news coverage last month. Also, municipalities everywhere are responding to animal activist groups and giving teeth to their animal ordinances. Let's hope this is better late than never, and instead of more unsubstantiated spouts, let's see what Dennis Township officials are actually doing to protect our animals and engage residents in a front page story in the Herald.
