Granted, constables on patrol would not have full police powers, but retired police officers (not political hacks) would be a valuable upgrade to assist troopers who are a very spread-out resource in these three municipalities. This option is affordable, and considering the more dangerous times we live in, I say go for it. Also, there are many retired, highly-trained law enforcement people in Dennis who would apply.
