Dennis Township - I realize that Dennis Township will never have its own police department, but why can't we have part-time constables like we had many years ago? Certainly there are many retired police officers in this township who would apply. A consistent patrol initiative in our neighborhoods and at public gathering places like the recreation center, ball fields and schools would be tax dollars well spent. Certainly, concerning the national level and state of world affairs regarding increased safety and security, there is a need to get refocused on public safety at the local level as well.
