Dennis Township - I agree with a Clermont spouter who states that Dennis Twp. needs upgraded law enforcement by establishing its own police force. Excellent points are spouted that summer population is 40,000, and DT is a gateway traffic artery for ocean and bay shore points. I am a realist, and I know that the priorities of Township Committee are to hold taxes down and to sacrifice public safety services because of costs for a full-fledged PD. This being said, certainly constables on patrol to assist State Police would be a very affordable option. Officials in DT need to prioritize public safety over finances.
