Dennis Township - The Herald reports that a group of 25 animal activists, many non-residents, grabbed the spotlight at a Middle Township Committee meeting Feb. 1. Their agenda was to keep what Middle officials termed "a work in progress" of proactively moving forward animal welfare laws, protections and initiatives. I hope these activists can next take a look at neighboring Dennis Township - which by Middle Township standards and the standards of almost every other South Jersey community - is behind the curve in advocating for its animals. If you were a dog, would you rather live in Middle or Dennis?
