Dennis Township - The barrier islands have been overdeveloped to the point where traffic can't move or park. Viewed from the air, the islands are just houses, condos and motels packed in like sardines. There is virtually nothing "natural" left, other than the beaches, which taxpayers spend millions of dollars to maintain. Evidently, for Art Hall, this is not enough destruction. He wants to spend billions to asphalt over thousands of acres of mainland, displace hundreds of families from homes they have lived in for decades and extirpate species, for an unneeded road. No Rt. 55.
