The same bad idea is happening to the Recreation Department as happened in February of 2012 with the Environmental Commission. The non-political independence of the the old Environmental Commission was replaced by the Natural Resources Committee which reports directly to a Committeeman with personal issues with the NJDEP. The ATV Subcommittee is another example of the abuse that can happen when Committee-persons have personal and political agendas. All independent citizen participation in The ATV Subcommittee was stopped on 06-10-12 due to conflict of interest concerns with the Deputy Mayor.
