The report that CMC is losing population is disturbing, but not surprising. There is no future for young people here unless they want to collect unemployment during the off season. Each municipality should do more to attract and keep young families. In Dennis Township, the recreation department is good in general, but I have heard disturbing news of children being turned away because parents missed sign-up deadlines by a couple of days. I know rules need to be enforced, but no taxpayer should be turned away from participating in a rec. program.
