To a Marmora spouter about holding dogs: I am also a volunteer at the shelter and we are grateful for any resident who can hold a pet and give it some attention while the owners are located by animal control. Thank you for caring residents who will help keep animals out of the shelter, which causes stress on both the pets and the many workers and volunteers who take care of the pets who are dumped, with owners never coming back to retrieve them. We need more caring people like you. Foster homes are always welcome at any shelter.
