Many municipalities promote a 'Clean Communities Day' in which the local public works department hosts and assists private citizens, groups, clubs and organizations to go into various neighborhoods to clean up litter and spruce up neighborhoods. Not surprisingly, the latest community to participate is Atlantic City due to the efforts of proactive Mayor Guardian and other community leaders throughout the city. Sounds like a great idea. Why is nothing like this being done in DT? All it takes is a little pride, effort, organization and political leadership.
