If our newly-elected Committeewoman Fry-DeRose is serious about inclusive government and more citizen involvement, a suggestion would be to establish a citizen's law enforcement committee. Years ago, the Woodbine Station detailed a community relations officer to attend meetings and touch base regularly with township officials. This no longer occurs due to manpower shortages required to patrol three municipalities. Job number one would be for an appointed liaison from this committee to establish this NJSP relationship again, and then report back directly to committee. Many retired cops in DT!
