I wasn't even born when the Titanic sank, but I'm thinking by watching the news, the people on that ship were very similar to the people sinking into their own "self righteous suicide" though I wish NO animal or homosapien harm, when the rubber meets the road then we see what portion of our society is trying to better us then the one's who don't care, and the consensus is the ones that don't care how they arrive are for the most part, breaking the law.
