Del Haven - Last week I was walking down Lafayette Ave. with my five-year-old and my three-year-old. They were riding their bikes while I was walking next to them. In the middle of the street was a used sanitary napkin. I called Middle Township public works and asked if someone could come and remove it. The response from public works was, we will try but I'm not guaranteeing it. I even asked them to contact the outside trash company contractor. No one ever showed up. Just like the city water issue we've been dealing with. The township doesn't care about us, just our tax money.

Surely, given the time and effort you gave to this cause, you also devised a means to safely collect and dispose of this item - thereby demonstrating to your children that good citizens rely first on our own capabilities and on government services only when necessary.
