A resident suggested salaries be raised for the township public works employees. I strongly agree with her suggestion, mainly because Middle is the largest municipality in this county, but pays their public works a very low salary. Then they are told, 'be happy you have benefits.' These employees are responsible for the care and upkeep of this town, and do an exceptional job cleaning up during and after any weather related emergencies. They're also responsible for the set up and cleaning up of the Harvest Festival. A salary increase is a good idea.
