Cracker Barrel stock had a good week after they reversed course and admitted it made a mistake, albeit a very expensive mistake. Everybody that takes risks makes mistakes. Touch a hot stove reaching for that cookie? You won’t ever make that mistake again. The best lessons are harsh but it’s important to learn from those mistakes. That’s called true progress. Doubling down on mistakes and not recognizing them early is the opposite of progress called regress. Nobody wants to be known as the regressive in the room. Too late now.
