They believe in less government and less interference in our private lives per the Constitution. Just because Congress passes a law or regulation doesn't mean it is constitutional. The Fed. Gov. has very limited powers for a reason. The issues you speak of are to be left to the states, not to be legislated by the Fed. Gov. I hope you will read and learn more before you vote, and demand our Congress and president follow the Constitution.
