Pennsylvania addressed school consolidation back in the early 1970s, but why stop just with schools? Maryland consolidated local police departments into county police forces back in the early 1970s also. It is only when New Jersey state representatives stop pandering to special interest groups for votes (teacher unions and police unions) and put the taxpayers first that consolidation will happen.
