Court House - I read Verizon workers who walked out on strike upon returning receive signing bonus, profit sharing (approx. $700) and a 3 percent raise. I know teachers who do not receive such increases with their contracts. I read the average employee makes $130,000 (salary plus benefits) and I know average teachers don't make that amount. No wonder there was not a lot of publicity; it's outrageous! To top it off, the last seven weeks I know workers who were making extra cash with their side businesses and going back to their real job was just icing on the cake.
