Court House - The Herald’s grim reminder of the challenges of evacuating Cape May County should have all pet owners planning evacuation for themselves and their pets, including horses. The PETS Act, established after Hurricane Katrina, only applies to pets. Yet, there are only limited resources to evacuate those pets. What plans are in place for the numerous animal facilities here? Do the shelters, stables, kennels, or even the zoo have provisions and plans for evacuation?
