Years ago, when a young couple wanted to buy their first home, they would shop around, find a home within their price range, talk to the realtor, sign a contract, get their financing and soon move into their new home...not today. Today, there is a greed-based bidding war that ensues for a home that is reasonably priced but sells for tens of thousands of dollars over the appropriate price. How is a young couple starting out supposed to compete with that?? They will never be able to buy a home in Cape May County with that practice going on. I guess they will be living with their parents forever.
