As the wife of a minister, I read with interest a recent spout about the declining passion for Christianity in the western countries, and I could not help but wonder if some of this has to do with how Christians are perceived by others, in what we say and do, how we treat others, the language we use, how welcoming we are to new church members, and our views on race and sexual orientation. Churches are closing by the dozens each year in America.
