What if some wealthy people and some foundations got together and decided to help replace the old lead water lines in Flint, Mich. so that the residents do not have to wait months for the legislature to find and approve the funding? What if rich people around the country could give a million now and help their less fortunate neighbors? Wouldn't this be a better world? Firefighters and EMTs have to stand in traffic and ask for donations, putting themselves at risk, but the regular population is in awe of and supports a lot of celebrity nonsense!
