Cape May Court House

To those expressing concerns about “Red Flag” laws and due process, with respect to the target, I offer this scenario. People who are “arrested” for any reason, are not immediately adjudged guilty, they are all “innocent until proven guilty”. Yet, they are immediately and summarily deprived of freedom upon “arrest” without any “proof” of wrongdoing being offered. The target of a Red Flag seizure merely has their property (firearms), not liberty, temporarily removed. Both are afforded “due process” in that they have the fair opportunity “post” incident (arrest/seizure) to prove their case.
