Thank you for pointing out that it would take a Constitutional Amendment, and not a Law, to implement mandatory retirement for legislators. If you count the characters in my original Spout you will see they total 599, and since we are limited to 600 characters in any Spout, “amendment” would not have fit, but point taken. It is, however, a vital enough a distinction to have it rectified in the printed version. However, chances of any such Amendment ever happening are nil in my opinion, unless you trust the fox to watch the henhouse.
