A successful County Animal Shelter needs a willing partnership with the communities it serves just as much as the communities need it. Hopefully, the rigorous negotiations schooled all participants to that reality. Positive collaboration in good faith can simultaneously be combined with seeking future options, including a shelter entirely financed by county taxes or other municipal options. We now must come together to work on promises and solutions fair to all.
