To the Spouter from Cape May criticizing “Climate change people” for using “LIVE” Xmas trees. The United States has roughly 15,000 tree farms overall, with the majority of those farms growing trees on 10 acres or less. Since it takes 7 to 8 years to grow a Xmas tree that can be harvested, that means that 1/7th to 1/8th are harvested each year, while the bulk are allowed to continue growing and performing their ecological function. Your suggestion to replace with artificial trees is also not environmentally friendly. Those artificial trees are, not so clean, plastic (oil) products after all.
