Sea levels have risen 8” since 1980s. On Wildwood Beaches sand deposits have increased. Sand migrates north to south. It piles up behind Cape May Inlet Jetty making beaches to the North bigger and Cape May beaches smaller. That is why they have to periodically lengthen the Jetty. Back Bay flood levels are at record highs. Mud you see is runoff of mainland sediment into backwaters. That is why dredging is necessary. Sea level rise is a fact. It is accelerating. Trust the science on this. It is rock solid. Best wishes!
