RE: The Stone Harbor "rant" on the "black slime" that is being pumped on the beach at Avalon with the beach replenishment project. The 7-Mile Island heads are "exploding" again! This "slime" as you call it is typically what you will find offshore. It will take years for this sand and "slime" to dry under the summer sun. Unfortunately, this sand and "slime" will be washed away after our next storm. Mother Nature wins every time. Why don't you leave the "cocoon" of the 7-Mile Island and visit a real natural beach. On second thought, I think I'll keep that secret gem to myself and my neighbors.
