Politico's editorial staff Nov. 6 conceded that the entire basis of attack on Carson was invented out of whole cloth. There were at least five major problems with the story: The headline was completely false, the subhead was also completely false, the opening paragraph was false, the substance of the piece was missing key exonerating information, and the article demonstrated confusion about service academy admissions and benefits. This was a hit piece by the liberal, progressive, leftist rag to smear a good man. Journalism at its worst!
