Pets need to be protected from the heat. Bring them inside in the air conditioning. Be sure there is shade in your yard for any time outside. Of course, water should be available at all times even when you go for a walk. Do not walk in the heat and protect paw pads. Horses need shade and water too by law. Know the signs of heat stoke and act immediately if you suspect your pet is in trouble in the heat. Don't forget the birds and other outsiders - put out plenty of cool, clean water.
