Local politicians are now lobbying for more beach replenishment funding. Guess who is going to pay for it if they succeed? The taxpayers! Let the beach towns fund their own beach replenishment projects out of their own municipal budgets rather than use state and federal tax dollars. New Jersey and federal taxpayers should not have to pay to protect barrier island homes. No one forced barrier island residents to live there.
