As a local parent, I want to raise awareness about how some businesses treat young teen workers. My 14-year-old was scheduled past 9 PM on school nights — which isn’t allowed by law — and was later told there were no hours due to returning seasonal workers. It’s disappointing to see local kids pushed aside. I hope more businesses will choose to support and mentor our youth responsibly.
