Just to clarify a few things about teachers: They don’t get free healthcare. They pay into it. Summers are unpaid furloughs during which they are ineligible for unemployment (unlike every other seasonal employee). They are among the lowest paid professionals working in what is consistently ranked one of the highest stress jobs.
