It makes no sense that year-round residents have anything negative to say about high, taxpaying, part-time residents instead of expressing gratitude for them. It's not even clear what their gripe is. No one is being victimized and the locals get to enjoy a nice, quiet lifestyle for most of the year. I can't imagine what life would be like in this area without their, and tourists' money.
