I never understood the vitriol directed toward “2nd homeowners” in this area. Did you ever stop to consider that one of the reasons there are so many is that there is a dearth of potential “primary homeowners” in the area? Unless you are retired and no longer dependent on a paycheck from a job, or income from a business, there is scant little else that isn’t dependent on the “tourist” or “2nd” homeowner population. Prospects for young people to remain in the area are limited. I welcome tourists and 2nd owners, and the taxes they pay to frolic in sea and surf, so my tax burden isn't higher.
