I get a kick out of reading all the comments about inability to remove sand from protected inlets.The alternative that has been used since 1963 is pumping sand from offshore sand lumps onto the beach.Well guess what ? That sand pumped on beach with nothing to hold it in place moves and chokes inlets and builds up Wildwood beach.The genius's have been doing the same thing for 60 years with the same results, is clearly a waste of tax payer dollars.Leave our beaches alone and nature will keep them safe while protecting life on beaches and inshore waters.
