I am really saddened by the story on the front page of this week's Herald about the zoo being sued by someone injured by the dairy cow in the petting area of the zoo. It is sad in this day and age that everyone sues for almost any reason. People should know that anytime you interact with an animal there are potential risks involved and you assume those risks when you enter a petting zoo. They will probably be forced to close the petting zoo to protect from future lawsuits and the rest of us will miss out because of others irresponsibility.
