To the commentor who said: “be a smart consumer and do not do business with the ones that charge extra for anything they do not deserve your business.” It has nothing to do with being a smart consumer. Every time you use a credit card, the business you use it at is charged a transaction fee that’s invisible to you. I’m sure that a Big Box store pays a smaller fee than your pizza shop down the street, due to negotiating power, but if you use credit, the “extra” fee is built into the price you pay at the register. I only know of one local business that shows “transaction fee” on their receipt.
