Christie's nomination of a liberal Democrat to the state Supreme Court shows how much power and influence he has lost in this state, using as his excuse the lame spin of the need for a full, seven-person court. Of course, he must know his low standing with the public has cast him as a lame duck, even though he has almost two years left.
