After 30+ years of driving, I leased my first car three years ago. I returned it in mint condition with lower mileage than prescribed. The dealer took the car and said that there would be no balance due because of the excellent condition and low mileage. After three weeks and several attempts by the dealer to get me to buy or lease another car, I received a bill for $428, a disposition fee from the dealer's finance company. They said that they would waive it if I bought or leased another vehicle from them. Isn't that extortion?
