Cold Spring - Attention Lower Township taxpayers: Grab your wallet. Township Council voted $45,000 for engineering studies to build new tennis and basketball courts at 9-year-old Douglass Park. The reason: The old ones are in total disrepair and need to be replaced so the school can have a competition tennis court. Approximate cost will be around $200,000 after cost overruns. Bonding will be soon to follow.

Moderator's Note:
According to Lower Township Manager Jim Ridgway, "The project was awarded in 2004 to Van Note Harvey Engineers. We won’t know total costs till bids are received but the Township will be doing part of the work including excavation, fence removal, etc."
