With all our tax money just wasted over the years on silly space research, that money could be more wisely put into programs that explore our weather systems. Who cares who is superior in space, when that money could be used to try to predict or prevent hurricanes, tornadoes, quakes and blizzards. Somebody is getting rich on space programs.
