Clermont - A Wildwood spouter is so right. Residents can no longer afford property taxes. To cut property taxes, the Wildwoods must consolidate police, fire, and school districts into a countywide system. It's called consolidation and shared services in other states, and that's why other states have much lower overall taxes, including property, sales, and other fees. No public servant will lose their job, but the manpower will be directed to where it's needed in the county. Wildwood can no longer expect a free beach and Boardwalk to pay all salaries.
