Champ here..What is a shoobie in past and present. Years ago, there was a train into Wildwood travelling on your left through the bay on exit 6. The Station was across the street from the American Legion. People would ride the train from Philadelphia for one day carrying a shoebox. They were only here for 1 day. In it was a towel, flip flops, lotion, a sandwich. Anyone walking around were spotted by residents as “Shoobies”. Today shoobies are spotted everywhere wearing Hoodies, shirts and gear from Wildwood.
