Whenever you start your car and it connects to your phone, it sends your contact list, phone logs, and the contents of all your texts to the vehicle manufacturer who stores it and can sell the information to whomever it wants, or turn it over to law enforcement. Your data doesn't stay between your phone and your car. Appeals court in Washington State ruled that there is no current law against it. We need stronger consumer data protection laws. This is something I hope both sides of the isle can agree on. Get it done Congress.
