Cape May - Why can people with handicap placards park free at meters in Cape May when everyone else pays? I don't resent handicapped people but being handicapped doesn't mean you're poor. Many handicapped vehicles are parked around the mall where parking is more expensive. Some of these people are store employees and realtors. Also, the number of beach taggers with handicap placards is out of line. I'm afraid that easy to get parking placards and free parking drives some healthy people to obtain handicap permits. It only takes a signature from a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant to get one.
