Why can’t Cape May get its act together and refurbish the basket

Cape May - Why can’t Cape May get its act together and refurbish the basketball court and park on Lafayette Street near the elementary school? For months and months we’ve heard talk of plans and renovations, and while this talk is great and full of lofty goals, the fact remains that the entryway into Cape May includes an unsightly basketball court with weeds and cracked pavement next to a tiny dog park. How about we make a priority a park for kids instead of dogs? It shouldn’t take so long or be so difficult to fix the basketball court, and it would really brighten up what appears to be a blighted area.
