Cape May - What happened to freedom of religion? The First Amendment of the US Constitution says that everyone in the U.S, has the right to practice their own religion...or no religion at all. The Free Exercise Clause gives you the right to worship or not as you choose The Establishment Clause prohibits the government from encouraging or promoting religion in any way. Freedom of religion also means freedom from religious rulings by judges making biased decisions.
