Cape May - A spouter remarked, "Taxpayers don't have responsibility to prop up the tourism industry either. It's long overdue to stop beach replenishment. There will always be a beach even without beach replenishment!" Are these folks very poorly educated, or are they already on public assistance? Without tourism, there is no Cape May County. Without shore houses, there is no tourism. Study the history of this county. Even before the railroads came, the only business that kept people here was tourism. No other industry has ever succeeded here.
